Maître incontesté du tambour français, ayant fait carrière
comme Tambour, puis Tambour-Major de la Musique de l'Air de Paris ;
il a par ses actions, ses ouvrages, ses compositions
révolutionné l'enseignement, rationalisé l'écriture, étendu le répertoire.
Parcourant inlassablement la France pendant plusieurs dizaines d'années,
avec une fidèle équipe, il a permis l'éclosion d'instrumentistes confirmés
dans les régions formant à leur tour des élèves selon la "bonne école".
Il a été le maître d'oeuvre du rassemblement de 1800 Tambours
à Paris le 14 juillet 1989.

Really the master of the French drum, having made a career as a Drummer,
then the Tambour-Major of the Air Band of Paris ;
he has through his actions, his books, his compositions revolutionized the teaching,
rationalized the writing, widened the pieces contents.
Traveling through France hanging several decades,
